Answered Prayer-Fingerprinting

Last week we received official notification that our home study had been received by US Immigration and that it was going to be mailed to another place for review. I started praying that we would receive the notification for our biomedical fingerprinting appointment this week.  When Joey got home from Liberia, I told him that this is what I was praying for and to shield me from disappointment, he told me not to get my hopes up. Hmmmm ok, but I said that I was still going to pray for it because then I would know that things were moving ahead.  So today, I got the appointment for Joey and me in the mail today.  I still have to figure out Caleb's appt but I feel hopeful I can do that.  Hooray!!!  Thank you Lord for answered prayer!

Now, more on the biomedical fingerprinting...I am not really sure what this is.  We have already been through 2 different sets of fingerprinting for the home study, so I guess this last set must be really thorough. When we went to the Sheriff's department for our 2nd set of fingerprints, I let Joey and Caleb go before me. Finally, it was my turn. As the young (20 something) officer took my hand to get my fingerprints, he calls to the other officer to bring him a towel because he has a "sweat-er".  WHAT? I turned to him and sweetly said, "Sir, it is never a good idea to call a middle aged woman a sweat-er." Hopefully, he got the message, and I have helped all the ladies that come in after me to have a little more dignity.  Ha-ha! I'll let you know what this one is like after we go.  Our appointment is on July 5th.
